Facial Feminisation Surgery

Question:

I had surgery with Douglas Ousterhout, MD in San Francisco It was easily the best, most important decision I made in transition. It changed my life. I don't think of myself as beautiful but I do like how I look: when I look in the mirror, I see someone looking back who looks like "me." I hadn't experienced that since I was 12 years old. I can go anywhere on the planet, dressed however I like, with or without makeup and I am always taken as an ordinary female. So far as I can tell, I never encounter suspicion. Not even SRS was as life-changing. I recommend Doug emphatically. If you haven't found it already, you can read my account at http://www.hamiltonlabs.com/FacialSurgery.htm . Can anyone help me?

Answer:

Is it worth it?. A question only you can answer. When I first transitioned I sought out FFS because I thought I looked really back and would never 'pass'. Luckily I found a good surgeon he said we can take a bit here add there but you are not really that bad and it would be a waste of money. All you really need is a nose job. I was angry and annoyed but I took his advice and just go the nose job. Now two years down the track I have to agree with him. I am not a pretty girl but I am happy with the way I look. Don't rush into FFS or any surgery is my advice wait awhile.
