Question: I need help I am going to have a facelift and am nervous about the recovery...and am nervous about pain after
I have never spoken with anyone about this procedure and want to get more information because I am having this done on jan 10 and need to know what to expect. so scared....actually.
Answer: why haven't you been informed by your surgeon? you need to speak w/her or him ASAP. you may need something to calm you down, also. remember, it's elective...and you obviously wanted it; you CAN change your mind. Everyone I've seen after a face lift--maybe 2 weeks later, looks like a barbie doll. sure, it's gotta hurt...but that's what painkillers are for.
BRING somebody WITH YOU. Don't be alone. You will be fine. Gazillions of women--and--men have had this done, just like bazillions of women have given birth. You will be fine. You can get through it, can't you? Yes, you can. And, it'll all be over before you now it. I know that's what everyone says, but they do because it's true. One second you're getting a pill or an IV, the next you're waking up in the recovery room. You can do this. You will be fine.
