Bleaching Chemical Peel
|
Question: Has anyone used a at home chemical peel?
I used a at home chemical peel and I noticed after that I have these dark patches on my skin. Like Melasma. I have tried everything to bleach them and etc... Could the chemical peel have brought out the dark patches or have created them? I do not use birthcontrol nor am I pregnant. There is no reason for me to have Melasma. Do you think it's Melasma? When I get out in the sun, it darkens. I have it on my nose, cheeks and upper lip. Do you think if I used it again, it would fix the problem? Is there a website that can tell me if the chemical peel caused it
So can anyone in the group help me please?
Answer: Are you talking about glycolic acid then no it dosent cause melasma.. could be an allergic reaction to some kind of food or something ......
Glycolic acid peel, takes away dead skin cells to reveal new skin cells...it could also be the case of bad acne or spots or hygiene..i am not saying that you aren't hygienic .....take care
Don't use the peel...for a few days or something ...you arent suppose to use chemical peel on your lips ......its acid...
if it's only dark atches try a bleaching cream people use ( hydroquinone product containing 2%) which is effective over a few weeks....
Probably need to see a dermatologist. I have Melasma and I wasnt pregnant, wasnt on birth control , just was told got too much sun. Bleaching creams and chemical peels are what they recommend. Wear a sunscreen even in the winter, yes it darkens fast with any sunlight. I dont think the chemical peel caused it or contributed to it.
