Question: Chemical Peel?
When my skin was starting to peel after the Chemical Peel. I peeled the skin off with my hands and when i did, the area of the new skin under it was redder than the area of the part where i left it alone to peel off by itself. Did i make a big mistake by peeling my skin off manually with my hands? and will it leave a bad mark? I feel so bad
So can anyone in the group help me please?.
Answer: don't feel bad, u did not make any mistake by peeling the skin off, it's just irritated. it will not leave a bad mark because what u experience now is called 'skin renewing' which is normal after using the chemical peel at first or using at a large concentration. the new skin underneath the old ones is redder because it is more sensitive, so be sure to use moisturizer with sunscreen protection to avoid further irritation caused by the sun.
i would have never gotten the chem peel...why put acid on yr face? if it were me, i would have left it alone...ouch..sorry i don't know what to say. don't feel bad...its already done. i've done things stupid things before..just learn from it and leave it alone! put some aloe vera to soothe the burning sensation
